Stephanee Hughson
President, Senior Wedding Coordinator, and Travel Advisor
Stephanee Hughson hails from Clinton, Iowa and has been in the travel and event industry for over 15 years. Stephanee has always loved to travel and experience new places and nothing brings her more joy than helping others plan their dream weddings, honeymoon, family vacations, and off-the-beaten path adventures. Stephanee believes the options are endless when it comes to travel and events; she wholeheartedly believes that if you can dream it, Plans in Paradise can make it reality.

Plans in Paradise was born when Stephanee turned her love and experience of travel into a business. Stephanee worked extremely hard building her client base by making sure each client knows how important they are and how excited she is to help them bring their travel or wedding dream to life! Over the years, Stephanee has assisted people in traveling all over Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, the USA, Canada, Iceland, and the list goes on. Each person and plan is customized and customers know they can reach her whenever they have questions.

Aside from travel, Stephanee’s other passion has always been planning events so, from that Weddings by Plans in Paradise was born. Stephanee helped a few friends with their big days and then launched the business to great success, over the past decade averaging 30-40 weddings per year - destination weddings, elopements, officiating, and/or full planning and day-of coordinating. Events are always unique and Stephanee realized that when creating packages; all Weddings by Plans in Paradise packages are customized to include the services important to couples.

Stephanee loves working in the travel and event industry because every day is a new adventure. She is extremely creative and willing to take the time to make your vacation and/or wedding extra-special. She specializes in honeymoon planning, destination weddings, local weddings, officiating, accessible travel, and unique vacation destination planning.

Mat Hughson

Hi, I'm Mat, nice to meet you!

My original background is in tech having a lifelong interest in all things that have to do with computers and I was classically trained in chemistry where I spent 13 years operating, designing, and automating research scale chemical processes.
​
I left my corporate job because I saw the passion that Stephanee has for travel and for providing service to her travel and wedding clients like they are family and best friends. Naturally, I initially leaned on my technical background to revamp our IT processes and in doing so learned a lot about the travel industry.
​
I've been working with Stephanee for 2 years learning the ins and outs of travel and destination weddings and if you choose to book a destination wedding your guests will interact with me during the initial quoting process.
​
I'm also looking to take on clients of my own (backed by my lovely wife) so don't be afraid to email or call so we can talk about your next vacation!

Hello, I'm Casi,
I am not a true Wisconsinite but have embraced all seasons for twelve years. I have three amazing children. I love anything outdoors and always look forward to the next adventure. Whether, that be trying a new restaurant or finding the next water hole to kayak.
Being a wedding coordinator assistant has been truly rewarding. My passion has really grown after working with Stephanee. The ability she has to execute every unique situation down to the very fine print inspires me to help with all the extra details to make your day memorable! Morgan Bennett
Lead Wedding Coordinator
Morgan is an Iowa native but has assisted with coordinating weddings in many states including Tennessee, South Carolina, and Illinois. She is the face you may see helping coordinate a rehearsal, decorating for the big day or ensuring the bride’s dress is fluffed before she walks down the aisle to the love of her life. Morgan loves weddings because she loves to see the love in people’s hearts come to life on the biggest day of their lives. She loves working with all new couples and getting to know their vision so she can assist in making everything extra awesome.

Morgan is hard working, kind, flexible and super creative! She is fabulous at creating unique centerpiece ideas, ensuring every detail runs smoothly for the day of and she is great at getting people out on the dance floor. She cannot wait to work with her next couple for their wedding day – could it be you?
